I am located in South Austin about
½ mile north of Ben White and ½ mile east of Manchaca. FYI: due to
lack of sidewalks for children, Clawson is heavily patrolled by APD in
the afternoons.
Here are 3 possible routes:
1. From
I 35 and Ben White: Head west on Ben White, take Manchaca exit.
Riding the feeder, go to the light at Manchaca. Turn right and then
take another right at the light on Fortview (one block) Go to stop
sign (about 3 blocks) at Clawson. Turn left (north) on Clawson Road
and proceed .6 mile to Valleyridge. Make a right on Valley ridge and
another quick right on South Oak. 3400 South Oak is the fourth duplex
on the right in the middle of the block.
2. Coming south on
Mopac: Take the Capitol of Texas Highway South exit. Stay in the
right lane and take the Lamar St. exit. Cross through Lamar and ride
the feeder beside Ben White. Turn left (north) on Manchaca. (An HEB is
on your right) Turn right at the light on Fortview. Go to stop sign
(about 3 blocks) at Clawson Rd. Turn left (north) on Clawson Road and
proceed .6 mile to Valleyridge. Make a right and another quick right
on South Oak. 3400 South Oak is the fourth duplex on the right in the middle
of the block.
3. From Oltorf and
Lamar: From Oltorf go south (toward Ben White) on Lamar and go .3
mile. Turn left on Del Curto (1 street before light at Bluebonnet). Go
past Unity Church and curve around left onto Lightsey (you can’t go
any other way). Go right at the stop at Clawson Road. Turn left onto
Valleyridge, the right on South Oak. It is the fourth duplex on the
right.
When you arrive, you will see a fence with copper tops on the posts
and an iron gate with dragons on the top. I am in side B. Walk through
the carport and through the wooden gate. Ring bell.
